Mrs. Muir

Welcome to the Webpage for

Mrs. Muir's Marvelous 2nd Graders

Hello, I am so happy to hear that you are in room 9 this year!  You will be doing a lot of cool and exciting activities as well as working extremely hard to learn as much as you can in one year.  This fall you will get to raise insects, go on a field trip to see a production of stories on stage, read tales of Mr. Putter and his fine cat Tabby and enjoy many fall activities.

This year you will need to purchase several items for the beginning of school.  You will need;

Ø      pencils

Ø      plain erasers

Ø      good school scissors.

Ø      small pencil box

Ø      magic markers

Ø      24 count box of crayons

Ø      1 composition book

Ø      1 pocket folder for homework

Ø      2 class size boxes of tissues

Ø      1 container of Clorox wipes

Ø      You should also bring a backpack to school so you can carry homework and papers to and from school.

There are some items that you do not need for school.  Do not bring in Trapper Keepers or big bulky folders.  They are too big to fit in your desk and if they are put on the floor people trip over them.  I will provide you with a daily planner to help you get organized and communicate with your parents.

Do come with a smile and positive attitude, they’re sure to get you off to a great start in second grade.  I can’t wait to meet you and your family in late August.  Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Your Second Grade Teacher,

                                                            Mrs. Muir
