Welcome to Mrs. Webb's 5th grade class!

We are a special group of superstars who will strive to do our best always while respecting, encouraging, and supporting one another.

Meet Mrs. Webb: I have been teaching for 5 years at Lu Lu Ross Elementary school. My undergraduate work was completed at West Chester University where I also played volleyball and softball for four years. My master's degree is from Wilmington University. My daughter Maddison and husband Mike are the highlights in my life. I enjoy spending time with "Maddie", her daddy, my family, friends, playing softball, soaking up the sun at the beach, and reading. I want every child in my classroom to be successful and feel welcomed and loved while attending school at Lu Lu Ross. Oh and by the way, I love the NEW YORK YANKEES!

Field Trips: Historic Philadelphia, Fort Delaware, and the Aquatic Resource Center

Units of Study: Math Trailblazers, 6 Traits writing, "Treasures" by MacMillan McGraw-Hill, Science kits include Ecosystems, Mixtures & Solutions, and Motion & Design, and in Social Studies we focus on the wars from the 1800's through the present day!

To my BIG 5th graders,

 

Boy oh boy time does fly when you are having fun! J I hope you are enjoying your break with your family and friends. I can only imagine all of the wonderful things you have been doing… playing outside and reading, trips to the beach and reading, shopping days and reading, picnics, barbeques and reading, having tons of fun and oh did I say reading? Please tell me that you have been doing some reading.

 

It’s hard to believe it is already the end of July. In just a few short weeks we will be back at Ross hitting the books. It is going to be a very memorable and enjoyable year for each of you. Remember you are the BIG DOGS now so set a good example for your younger peers and make good choices.

 

Just a little about me…. spending time with Maddison is the best thing in the entire world. It has been such an awesome experience watching her grow. I can’t wait to share all of her pictures and stories with you when you return back to school. Trust me, I have some great ones. Oh and Mr. Mike is doing well too. It is so easy to forget about him when I have Maddison to oh and ah about! J

 

Well enjoy these last few weeks of freedom. Make sure you take some time to relax. I can’t wait to see you all on the 20th. Be safe and keep on or begin reading please. J

# Pencil bags are ok, but please no pencil boxes or trapper keepers. We do not have enough space in our desks or classroom for these items. Thank you!
