Academic Highlights

We will be learning many exciting new things this year in fourth grade.  In our classroom we will be using the McMillan McGraw Hill "Treasures" Reading Series and following a reading workshop model, learning with the hands on approach to math with Trailblazers, studying explorers of our country and learning about Delaware History in social studies, and starting the year with a science kit on the Structures of Life, just to name a few things.

Homework

Students will have homework almost every night, with the exception of subject area written homework on the weekends.  Homework assignments should be written down every night in their agenda books.  Accelerated Reader (AR) will be required each night (including weekends) for 20 minutes along with a written summary to be kept on ONE AR Log for the week.  It will NOT be accepted on any other paper.
