Mission Statement

We will create our mission statement together the first day of school. 

Academic Highlights

Our reading series is Treasures.  You can check it out at www.macmillanmh.com.  In Math Trailblazers we will learn lots of new math skills and participate in math labs.  We use the 6+1 Trait model in writing and we have a writer’s notebook.  Our science kits are Structures of Life, Electricity, and Land & Water.  In social studies we will learn about Native American Cultures, Explorers and Early Settlers, Colonial America, the Revolutionary War, and a New Nation.

Homework

Students record their homework daily in their agenda books.  Every night they should read their AR book for 20 min. and write a summary on their AR log.  Reading contracts are due on Fridays.  Parents can check the agenda to see the color their child was on for behavior.  Please sign the agenda daily.
