As we work on moving information from our old website to this new website - Please continue to use http://www.re.msd.k12.de.us/mediacenter.htm to access our links for students, staff and parents.
The Ross Elementary School Library strives to provide students with materials and experiences that instill a love of literature and libraries. We work to prepare students to research information and personal interests. Our goal is for each student to be a comfortable and efficient library/resource user so that no matter what library they use in the future they can locate and correctly use the materials available.
We have an open library schedule which enables students, staff, and parents constant access to our collection of books, read-along sets, and magazines. Students are scheduled into the library during their expressive arts schedule as well. We house advanced technology for instructional use and have a mini-lab of student computers. These computers are used for the on-line catalog as well as for word processing, researching (using the internet and the educational databases) and for instructional programs, such as Accelerated Reader. Our goal is to build life-long readers, library users, and learners!
